Enough about me, let’s talk about you.

Hello all you lovely people! *waves* Something hit me last night and I want to work on fixing it. One of you super followers signed up on YouWriteOn.Com and received my story in your assignment list! The only problem is there is no messaging system on that site. I wanted to tell you thank you and good luck and maybe start a dialogue to answer some of your questions.

When I started browsing through my follower list in the hope of finding a way to send you a message I realized something. I don’t really know much about many of you wonderful people. There are many I recognize because I follow you back, but somewhere along the way my numbers jumped up and I wasn’t able to meet all of you.

I’ve been quite selfish. Well, at the very least I have neglected YOU, my followers. My posts have been more personal than writing related, but now that the kids are back in school I have a little more time to devote to you.

Who are you?
and
What burning questions do you want answered?

Please introduce yourself in the comments so I can come to your blog and meet you.
In fact why don’t we do something fun. In the comments, post your:

  1. Name
  2. Blog
  3. The color of your toothbrush
  4. Big goal for the rest of this year
  5. Post your questions about the craft of writing, mechanics, grammar, publishing world, seeking agents, queries, synopsis, Nanowrimo, whatever and I’ll start researching and posting the answers to your questions.

It’s time to make this blog more about you and less about me…for a while at least.

I’ll actually be gone all next week doing this…

…for my 15th anniversary. So you have an entire week to think of some questions. When I come back I hope to see lots of comments to help me get to know you and your questions/suggestions on what you want me to post about.

Please? and Thank You!

  4. OMG you're going on a cruise! You are so spoiled. Try not to put on fifteen pounds because they stuff food down your throat on those cruises. But even if you do gain fifteen pounds I'll still come visit your site even if I do call you fatty.

  5. Name: Nicole PylesBlog: http://theworldofmyimagination.blogspot.comColor of ToothBrush: White/Blueish (an ELECTRIC one..oohh!) :)Big goal for the rest of this year: Have my book outlined and my first five chapters writtenQuestions — Not sure!! Except for one…do you outline? If you do in anyway, how detailed do you go?

  6. Toothbrush color is a big deal in my family. Somehow my mother always buys a two-pack with a pink one in it. -disgusted face- And neither my sister or I like pink. You can see the dilemma.Luckily, we went to the dentist a few days ago. Now my toothbrush is green and hers is blue. 🙂

  7. *waves* I see some of you that I talk to a lot, and some new faces. Wonderful! Thanks for the post ideas. Keep them coming and spread the word. I'll get to work as soon as I get back on the 10th.

  8. Everybody's talking about REAL vacations! How does my fantasy measure up? LOL Enjoy your cruise.Name: HollyBlog: hollyruggiero.blogspot.comColor: yellowGoal: Finish something! Definitively my kidlet story.Question: nothing specific but I love posts that talk about the craft of writing

  9. This is cool :)Name: Marquita HockadayBlog: http://seepamwrite.blogspot.comColor: BlueGoal: Finish revisions of contemp YA Mystery and query some more.Question: How do I stay motivated to query after so.many.rejetions??

  10. Maybe I was your mystery critique (cebridges)? I did get it as an assignment and review it, mentioning your blog. I'm nervous now. Hope I didn't say anything stupid! I'm a newbie at offering critiques.I'm also way behind on my blog reading, so I didn't see this until just now. I'll answer the questions.Name: Caroline BridgesBlog: http://untitlement.wordpress.comColor of ToothBrush: clear with a blue stripeBig goal for the rest of this year: Start a new novel while the other two rest.Question: Does that insane rush of first love ever return in your writing career? When I first started writing fiction, I felt like I'd discovered superpowers, a link to a fantastic new world, the candy room in Willy Wonka's factory. I still enjoy it, but there isn't that all-consuming fire anymore.

  11. Caroline, no it wasn't you. I thought your comments were nice and helpful. Thanks for asking a question. I'll add you to my queue.
