Blank Pages

My mind is blank.
Not really, but the writhing muddle of thoughts and emotions are so tangled that I can’t form a single word.
Images flicker behind my eyes like a vintage VCR on fast forward. Characters, scenes, lists, real life to-dos, plots thickening.
I need a moment.
Silence.
A breath.
I reach in, eyes closed and pull a thread from within. The words flow through my fingers and onto the page.
One
Word
At
A
Time.
